Kevin Durkee is a second year Masters student in the Human Factors and Applied Cognition program.  He received his Bachelors degree in 2004 from DePaul University in Chicago, IL, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

His research interests span a number of topics pertaining to human-machine interaction, including visual perception of displays, allocation of automated functions, and task analysis for complex environments.  He is particularly interested in the applied nature of these concepts to safety critical domains, such as aviation, healthcare, and military applications.

Kevin expects to graduate in May 2008, and he plans to work for industry or government, while specializing in user-centered analysis and product development.  Currently, he co-leads the Arch Lab Newsletter as part of the HFES student chapter at George Mason.
